1013 Homewood Talladega Football Game
The Homewood High School Patriots scored nine touchdowns and shut down Talladega in a 66-0 victory. Their final regular season game against Russell is set for Friday night in Alexander City.
Completing its fourth shutout in the last five weeks, the Patriots' defense never let Talladega compete in the game. The Tigers only managed three first downs, and totaled 75 yards of offense.
Walter Rutledge continued his historically great season for Homewood, scoring four touchdowns and rushing for 144 yards.
The Patriots (8-1, 7-0) finished with a perfect Region record, and prepare for next week's season finale against Benjamin Russell.
In two weeks, Homewood begins its march through the playoffs by hosting Russell County.
