Homewood didn't have an answer in the second half.
Huffman's Travanus Carroll exploded for 20 points in the final two quarters, as the Vikings knocked off the Patriots, 68-58, in the semifinals of the Metro Tournament. Carroll finished with a game-high 26.
Luke Touiliatos scored ten points for Homewood, as the Patriots also had to deal with strong performances from Myran Jones and Latourius Carroll, who each scored 13 for Huffman.
The Patriots defeated Bibb County on Wednesday in the first round of the tournament.
The tournament, hosted by Homewood, will conclude on Saturday. Homewood will face Woodlawn at 6 p.m. in the third place game.

7th place: Vestavia Hills vs. Hartselle - 3 p.m.
5th place: Midfield vs. Bibb County - 4:30 p.m.
3rd place: Woodlawn vs. Homewood - 6 p.m.
Championship: Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa vs. Huffman - 7:30 p.m.
