A kite flying event is coming to Homewood Community Garden's "Kite Hill."
The event will run Sunday, May 17 from 3-5 p.m. Doodles Homemade Sorbets and Ices truck will arrive at 3:30 p.m., and a drum circle with John Scalici will begin at 4 p.m.
Attendees are encouraged to bring kites, blankets and a picnic.
Organizer Julie Gentry said she will have some kite kits for kids to decorate and fly on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The garden is located at the former Homewood Middle School site in Edgewood.
