The Wade family was honored as grand marshals for the We Love Homewood Day Parade on May 2.
The day started with carnival games, the Homewood Rotary Club's Sidewalk Chalk Festival and Bake Sale, West Homewood Lions' Club's hamburger and hotdogs and other festivities at Homewood Central Park. That evening, a parade processed from Homewood Public Library to downtown Edgewood, where a street dance followed.
