Elevation Homewood Apartments
Homewood police have a person of interest in custody following the shooting death of a young boy, according to a Police Department press release.
On Sunday around 11:13 p.m., Homewood police responded to call about a person being shot at a Homewood apartment complex. When police arrived at Elevation Homewood Apartments off of Columbiana Road, they found a young boy with a gunshot wound, according to the release.
The boy was taken to Children’s Hospital, where he later died. Police have a person of interest in custody and are interviewing witnesses, the statement said.
