BikeShare Presentation
Lindsey West of the Regional Planning Commission of Greater Birmingham shares a proposal for a city BikeShare program with the Homewood planning and development committee during their April 20 meeting.
The city of Homewood is holding multiple public involvement meetings to discuss a potential bike-share program.
The first meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 25 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Seeds Coffee. Public involvement meetings are aimed at getting input on where residents hope to see bike-share stations and to determine the project’s feasibility.
Representatives of ZYP BikeShare, the bike-share program from downtown Birmingham, and from the Regional Planning Commission of Greater Birmingham will be present. These representatives will answer questions from the public and give a presentation on bike-share programs.
The next public involvement meeting will be March 3 at Cahaba Cycles.
Residents who cannot attend the meetings can fill out a bike-share survey and leave location suggestions at homewoodbikeshare.com.
