If you’re like most people, the “runner’s high” seems like the stuff of myths and legends. For Lisa Booher, Ann Stalvey and Jennifer Andress, it’s very real, and with their guidance at Resolute Running Training Center (RRTC), you can achieve it, too.
These three women coach runners with varying levels of athleticism. It doesn’t matter if you’re a seasoned marathoner or a complete beginner, they will help you achieve your goals.
“My particular role at RRTC is to work with beginning or beginning-again runners,” Andress said. “The progress they make over the course of our time together is astounding! We have trained runners for their first 5K who today are running ultramarathons on hard trails with serious elevation. And all of that literally started with a 30-second run.”
Each of the coaches at RRTC are certified TRX trainers and Running Coaches. They offer both individual and group training. Beginners start by doing a timed fitness evaluation. Once the coaches know your current fitness level, they’ll discuss your goals and develop a personalized run plan for you. “It is exciting for me to listen to an individual’s goals and then work together to reach them,” Stalvey said.
According to the RRTC coaches, sticking to your individualized run plan is vitally important, even if that means running less than you think you can. Sticking to the plan can help prevent burnout or injury.
“Whether you want to run your first 5K, maintain a more consistent running schedule for your overall health or cross the finish line of your first ultra, RRTC is here to help you develop the intersection of your running goals with the demands of the rest of your life,” Booher said.
