When we think it is time to forgive, can we really do it? And if we can’t, how much shame do we attach to that? And isn’t it true that sometimes we tell ourselves that we have forgiven, as we decide to try to relate to the offender again, but we find out that we are still filled with resentment? Perhaps, forgiveness is not what we think it is. Learning about the depth, breadth and outcome of forgiveness is perhaps one of the truest routes to authentic peace.
