Shayana Davis, managing attorney at Boyd Davis LLC, often encounters clients during stressful and overwhelming times in their lives. 

“As a debt and credit lawyer, my job is to help my clients find answers to problems that have a major impact on their day-to-day lives.” Davis said. “Because I work with individuals, families and small businesses, I have dealt with issues that range from fighting identity theft and the resulting impact on a client’s credit score to  assisting a small business get back on track after reorganizing its business structure. Although each case is different, the common thread is working with the client to move forward toward the most successful outcome.” 

She tries to encourage her clients so they feel empowered in the midst of whatever challenge they are facing. The goal of her firm is to provide just the right blend of professional expertise and personal attention.

“One of the things that sets me apart is I don’t have a one size fits all approach to my clients, even with clients who come in with similar concerns,” she said. “I try to really examine what a client ultimately hopes to accomplish, which may result in a different action plan from what the client initially planned to do.  I want to see each client come out of this process feeling better than when they started it.”

Davis specializes in debt and credit issues, small business planning and estate planning. “I basically get to wear the white hat a lot of the time and help people fix problems, specifically problems with money,” Davis said. “That can take a lot of different forms.”

Davis, a graduate of Cumberland School of Law, gets personally involved with all the different phases of her clients’ cases and more importantly with what’s going on with her clients’ lives, she said. She has helped a great number of clients to navigate through their legal struggles. 

“In an ideal world, people wouldn’t face troubling times. In the real world, however, life happens,” she said. “My hope is to educate and uplift the clients I serve as they conquer their troubles.”
