The Homewood City Schools Foundation is now accepting recommendations for the 2016 Teacher Impact Award.
Nominations will be accepted through Friday, Feb. 26.
The award was developed three years ago as a way to recognize teachers in the Homewood school system, and recommendations from parents, students, teachers, administrators and friends will be accepted.
The Teacher Impact Award recognizes one teacher in each of the system’s five schools, and each award recipient receives $500 for classroom materials or professional development.
