SoHo will once again turn into an outdoor market on Saturdays this summer.
Urban Cookhouse practices its “buy local, eat urban” motto not just in its restaurant but also in its farmers market.
This year the market plans to welcome more than 20 vendors who sell produce, coffee, noodles, meats, flowers, jewelry, pastries and more. Other vendors include popsicles, candles, soaps and dog treats. All of them come from an approximately 85-mile radius of the market.
The festivities also feature cooking demonstrations and kids’ activities such as face painting.
Urban Cookhouse co-owner David Snyder said he enjoys being able to provide a service for the community as well as farmers to sell directly to the general public.
