Patriot Partners Team Race Day 2014

Homewood students and faculty raised $18,000 for The Bell Center for Early Intervention Programs this weekend.
Elementary, middle and high school runners along with faculty members teamed up for the Mercedes Marathon relay event, forming seven Patriot Partners teams with five runners each.
“When Coach [Lars] Porter called us together last summer to discuss his amazing idea for Patriot Partners, I thought if we could get three full teams together this first year, it would be a big success!” said Jennifer Andress, mom of a fifth-grade runner and chair of the Center’s BellRunners program.
Each team raised money for a specific child at the Center and learned more about its work during the fundraising period.
